ABOUT
YOGA WITH MARGARET
Hello!
Thank-you for your interest in the mindful practice of
Yoga with Margaret (YWM).
The human body is designed for movement. As we age, it is especially important to consciously maintain our precious mobility, flexibility, balance and strength. A regular, consistent and safe practice of Yoga can be an effective strategy to maintain one’s quality of mobility, invigorate the body systems including respiration, circulation, and the digestive system.
In the tradition of Hatha Yoga, my teaching practice commences with a strong focus on present consciousness, followed by a steady progression of intentional movements to warm up the body to prepare for a transitional progression of asanas (postures/poses) and concluding with a time to reconnect with the breath and release tension.
Yoga With Margaret places a strong emphasis on safety; encouraging clients to work within their range of motion. Clients are encouraged not to force any stretches or poses that may be inappropriate for them.
Yoga With Margaret is suitable for those who are just beginning their Yoga journey; as well those who are more experienced and wish to strengthen and deepen their practice.
